Is lip gloss made out of whale sperm?

Yes, actually, it is. The whale farms on the East coast of Canada have developped a way of arousing whales at key moments in the day so that the sperm is completely fresh and will last a long time. The sperm is then sent off to manufacturers across North America, where it is diluted, coloured, scented, and sometimes even flavoured in a variety of ways to suit the consumers. Is lip gloss made out of whale sperm?

i heard its made out of its blubber ;D if that helps....i still wear it!!
No.

Different glosses are made of different things. For example, some glosses will list their ingredients right on the label, usually if they are a natural or organic company they want you to know exactly what is (or isn't) in there.
probly not. but dont be surprised to find animal fat, bees wax, seaweed, or parts of animals you dont want to hear.
no!
This does sound rediculous and slightly funny, but it is true that ';sperm'; from the head of the Sperm Whale was used in several cosmetics, shampoos/conditioners %26amp; candles (because of this solid white waxy sperm called ';spermaceti'; they produced in abundance %26amp; the blubber also has an abundance of this sperm) until around the 1970's when they enacted the Endangered Species Act. So, there shouldn't be any whale sperm in anyone's cosmetics out today. A natural oil ';jojoba oil'; has been used to replace the sperm from the sperm whale...since jojoba, an oil that comes from a plant, also has this desired waxy texture and consistency. Also, since jojoba oil is a bit pricey, most companies use petroleu jelly to replace that as well...since petroleum jelly (vaseline) is very inexpensive.

Petroleum jelly is also a by-product though. You are better off with getting a lip gloss from a natural or mineral cosmetics company, since most will use more expensive ingredients and not charge you high dollar for advertising and pretty packaging.

If you want to make your own gloss or are looking for a replacement for petroleum jelly, Jenulence has a Petroleum Free Jelly that is wonderful and completely natural...no by-products. http://www.jenulence.com/products/Petrol鈥?/a>

Lumiere Mineral Cosmetics makes a very nice natural lip gloss (you can get several pigmented glosses too). http://www.lumierecosmetics.com/index.ph鈥?/a>

I can promise you neither Jenulence or Lumiere uses whale sperm. =D

I hope that helps! If you do see spermaceti listed in any of your lip gloss or cosmetics ingredient list, don't buy it or use it...contact your local animal rights group and report that company.
You'd be surprised. The average American woman ingests 2.5 POUNDS of lip product per YEAR.... what's in your tummy?

I stay safe and use the good stuff from Arbonne! No petroleum, no mineral oil.... no SPERM..... no thank you!
HAHAHAHAHAHA

now that would be a nice name for a lipgloss!
I god dam hope not!

  1. The "something with a p letter" is placenta. I'm not sure but apparently they use it in hair and makeup products. Kinda gross😆
