Why is it that when I wear lip gloss....?

It makes my lips look smaller? I have full lips, and I like to make them stand out, but also want a pretty sort of natural make up look...not too much make up or anything. I try wearing lip glosses but they always make my lips look smaller for some reason, why is this? And also, what can I wear to make my lips stand out more but still look not overly done up?Why is it that when I wear lip gloss....?
I have full lips and i always have that problem too...I think its because of the gloss reflection that it hides your full lips.

go for tinted that will flatter your lips..This is what i use and it doesn't have a strong gloss so it really looks plump.


I go for raspberry for a natural pinkish-red lips.

I would suggest using a lip liner to define the natural line of your lips, then fill in. YOu can use a more neutral lip color, then instead of putting gloss over your whole lip, just concentrate the gloss on the center of your upper and lower lips. This little trick will make your lips appear fuller without the pricey lip plumpers that don't really work anyway.
umm i dont kow why that happens to you but u can use bolder lip color and lip liner to make them stand out
its prob cus ur wearing dark lipgloss or lipstick wear lighter colors
Try using a natural color lipliner and gloss the out line of ur lipliner gives ur lips the shape and put the gloss over it this will make ur lips appear bigger. The reason why ur lips look smaller with the gloss is because ur not putting anything to give ur lips shape.
just ditch the lip gloss. a classic matte is always more elegant and efficient than a gloss.
go get 'lip infusion' from ulta. plumps your lips like no other. you can also try sally hansen.. almost all those lip plumping glosses are the same.





you can also try getting a nude colored lip liner... and apply it before you put on your lipgloss. this tends to make your lips have a 'pout'





if all else fails...





apply lipliner... then lipstick.. then put a tiny tiny smudge of gloss in the center of your bottom lip. blend.





it will give the lips a fuller appearance.
The reflection on the shine is what makes your lips appear smaller. But definitely try a plumping gloss if you like the glossy look, Bare Escentuals Buxom lips is good!
Try a lip gloss with some shimmer in it. It will draw more attention to your mouth. Maybe get a darker color also.

I would try using brighter colors and not alot, just a little to give them a shine
