Can you water down lip gloss?

My most favorite lip gloss is getting really low, and i really like it, so I was wondering if i could simply just add a little bit of water into the tube and shake it up, would that 'kill' my lip gloss or would it be fine to do that??? Thanks for the help ^^Can you water down lip gloss?
I have a really good tip! Just boil some water and once it has boiled, pour it into a mug, don't let it cool down, and place your lipgloss inside the mug, wait for about 5 minutes or 10 and you'll find that all the lipgloss has accumulated at the bottom. Just try it!

Trust me it works, I found a video on Youtube that shows you how to do it. It's by MichellePhan lhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XG-DAH4W7鈥?/a>Can you water down lip gloss?
I don't know if you can actually add anything to your lip gloss to make it last longer. But you shouldn't add water to your lip gloss because it's going to be liquidy and it's gonna have the same results as it did without the water. You can depot your lip gloss though, meaning to break open your lip gloss and scrap out all the excess and put it in a small clear container that way you don't waste any lip gloss that might be in any crevasses. Other than that I'm not really sure what else you can do besides buying a new bottle.

edit** miss manny has a good point about the water
Putting water in lip gloss won't stretch it at all. Lip gloss is designed to resist water (like from your mouth) so it would water would just sit there on top of it. You could try applying chapstick before you apply the lip gloss because you won't have to saturate your lips with your lip gloss that's already running low. Good luck!
don't do that cause it will wreck it. instead boil some water and pour it in a cup then put your lip gloss, mascara or wat ever in the boiling water for 5 minutes this will melt up the lip gloss stuck so it all runs to the bottom. after it's been in for 5 minutes leave it in the fridge for a minute then ur all set to go! good luck, hope I helped!
