Should a 10 year old girl be allowed to wear a colored lip gloss?

Only when she is playing. At 10 my step daughters were playing with their dollies not slapping on make up.Should a 10 year old girl be allowed to wear a colored lip gloss?
You have to start them somewhere. A coloured lip gloss is not the tool of the devil! If you start around about this age and begin talking about these things and how to be subtle with make up - they wont end up at 12 years old looking like a lolita who is excited by using an illegal 'thing'!

Lipgloss is fine. But stay in touch with this ten year old, talk about make up, say how it used to attract men and you have to be careful of that - for if she looks older it could get her into trouble with boys and be honest as to why.

But in intself the lipgloss is fine.

With my own daughter we then progressed when she was about 11-12 to a small amount of pale eyeshadow, and the lipgloss and built up from there. By the time she was 13 she could apply make up in a subtle, almost not there way and didnt cake it on, or use tons of mascara and it became something of a take it or leave it matter. She is now 18 and barely uses it. It was the same with drinking. Right from a young age she had a tiny bit of wine with lemonade, sparkly water or just water. She grew up without alcohol being an exciting thing that was a forbidden fruit - when she was in her early teens the ratio of wine to dilutant was obviously reversed. But because she had been around alcohol all her life, had been able to try it all under supervision and have some at family dinners along with everyone else - it became something she could take or leave, and has mostly left.

Same with the make up and any other of those 'growing up' situations.

Dont worry unduly about the lip gloss but say no to lipstick at this stage.Should a 10 year old girl be allowed to wear a colored lip gloss?
That should not be a problem health wise... if this is not against the culture of that sociey or country etc... and if the religion does not have a say... if you are not an orthodox or some one comming from a religion that forbids I dont see any trouble in this...

sure a little pink lip gloss nvr hurt. lol my friend is going on 13 and her mom wont let her were that but shes phyco so w/e go 4 it. o i get it, i looked at ur other ?s...ur the modest grammy who doesnt think a 10 yr old should be wereing lip gloss. listen that is the mothers disison to make not urs.
Yeah. My mom used to hate it when I tried wearing make-up at that age. She's around the age that she'll want to experiment with her appearance. If you're the parent and don't approve, just tell her not to wear it and take it away.
sure, it's not really a big deal. but make sure you let her know that just because she has permission to wear lip gloss...she can't start asking to wear eyeliner and blush and eyeshadow...

make sure boundaries are set before she looks like one of those damn clowns we see much too often nowadays!
That should be fine because nowadays, no matter what your age is girls wear lip gloss. It's a type of fashion.
mhm I don't see why people are so crazy lately
